Success Story |

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair is crowded with interesting and informative activities. In 2009, the fair featured more than 50 activities, including tea-brewing demonstrations, seminars and a series of Tea Forums. The first "KamCha Competition (Hong Kong-style milk tea)” organised by the Association of Coffee & Tea of Hong Kong was held and “The Most Beloved Tea” voting game attracted huge interest.
This year, the Association of Coffee & Tea of Hong Kong and HKTDC will jointly organise the "International KamCha Competition 2010" . It will be on a grander scale with international teamsters joining in and competition rounds being held in the Australia (Sydney), Canada (Toronto), Chinese mainland (Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen) and Macau, the final on the last day of the Hong Kong International Tea Fair. |

For buyers such as Mabroc Tea Limited of Sri Lanka and Nam Wan Tea Co Pte Ltd of Singapore, the 2009 fair was very fruitful. Their on-the-spot orders with state-owned Indonesian supplier PT Perkebunan Nusantara amounted to US$78,336.
